Tata Comm bags TV5MONDE order for content delivery network services
TT Correspondent |  Mumbai |  22 Apr 2009

Tata Communications said that it will deploy content delivery network services for France-based TV5MONDE enabling the language network to distribute key events in real-time via internet.

As per the deal, Tata Comm will deploy an end-o-end solution which in turn will replicate and distribute content with a 2-4 second delay over the company’s Tier-1 IP backbone.

“Following the quick turnaround and successful deployment of services during the US presidential campaigns, Tata Communications became the obvious choice to continue to best support and deliver our content with an unmatched user experience,” said Jean Pierre Verines, CTO for TV5MONDE. “Tata Communications'' broad global presence coupled with their commercial and technical flexibility best matched our vision and facilitated our move into the online distribution arena.”
