TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  19 May 2009

The DoT has asked operators to list out all the issues which need policy related decisions from the government.

"A new government is likely to be in place by the later half of May 2009. The government will have to take decisions on a number of matters which are still constraining growth of the telecom sector. I would like to know the issues which in your opinion, need to be addressed urgently," said Telecom Secretary Siddhharth Behura said in a communication to operators.

The DoT is also set to hold a meeting of the operators soon to decide a common agenda for the government for the first 100 days.
