Sistema Shyam Teleservices plans to hire 4,500 people by June 2010
TT Bureau |  |  25 May 2009

While differing from the other companies across the economy hit world, where head cutting assumes the general norm, Sistema Shyam Teleservices Limited (SSTL), a JV between Russia’s Sistema and the Indian Shyam Group, operating under the brand name MTS, will hire 4,500 people in India by June 2010, reports PTI.

SSTL, a new entrant in the country’s telecom space, is planning to sign up 5000-6,000 people by the end of June 2010, citing that India forms an important market to the company. And hence it will continue hiring, said SSTL President and Chief Executive Officer Vsevolod Rozanov.

With about 1,500 employees in India at present, the company said it will increase the headcount across various verticals and plunge all the telecom circles by the third quarter of 2010.
