Punjab & Haryana HC ask BSNL to scrutinize rejection of NSN’s bid
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  06 Jul 2009

State-run PSU BSNL’s controversy surrounding awarding of contract to Ericsson and Huawei for the mega-GSM tender refuses to die down as the Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed BSNL to scrutinize the rejection of bid submitted by Nokia Siemens Networks(NSN), reports the PTI. The move from the HC follows a plea submitted by NSN towards the same.

The HC wants an independent committee to do the job of scrutinizing the bid.

NSN had moved the HC challenging its disqualification by BSNL on technical grounds. NSN reasons that BSNL has failed to communicate or provide to any information regarding its disqualification. It says it had met BSNL’s technical criteria in the earlier tender floated by the company.
