Chinese major, Huawei Technologies today said that it has secured the number one spot for new market share gained across the globe in the IP router segment for service provider industry. The firm announced the achievement on the basis of latest research findings by Infonetics Research.

The company claimed to have gained 50 % increase in market share when compared to the previous quarter. Its market share now stands at 14.3 %. The research says that the company has been recording growth in market share since 2006. It is the leader in Asia-Pacific region with 27.7 % market share and is ranked second in the IP routers segment in terms of cumulative market share in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
