IBM bags CRM contract from Sun Direct TV

IBM announced that it has bagged a customer relationship management (CRM) related application development contract from DTH player, Sun Direct TV, which is part of Sun TV network.

“This multi-year deal includes end-to-end services, from strategy through implementation, and displaces Sun Microsystems, the incumbent provider,” said IBM.

 

The CRM system will be build keeping in mind the 6 million subscribers which the service provider has at present and which is expected to grow to 10 million by 2010.

 

“We will rely on IBM to help us tackle key issues surrounding billing and customer relationship management, as well as develop ways to get better insights on customer behaviour,” said Mr Tony D’Silva, Chief Operating Officer, Sun Direct TV.
