US-based MVNO, Comcast expects 40 % margin from WiMAX services
TT Bureau |  |  11 Aug 2009

This should come in handy for proponents of WiMAX technology. US-based Comcast which offers WiMAX services over Clearwire’s network as a MVNO, said that it expects to generate about 40 % margins once the rentals hit the price point of $ 69.96 per month.

“The product at the end of the year resets to $69.95," said Comcast COO Stephen Burke.

The company offers WiMAX services as part of its broadband services portfolio and is witnessing return of lapsed DSL subscribers back to its fold.

The MVNO offers WiMAX-based broadband services in Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington. It is offering its WiMAX services bundled with other broadband services. Currently the services are offered for $ 49.95 per month that offers pure data services.
