Tech Mahindra opens new BPO centre in Chandigarh
TT Bureau |  |  16 Aug 2009

Tech Mahindra announced the opening of a new BPO centre in Chandigarh spread over 15 acres and having a 1000 seat capacity with 500 seats available in the initial phase and another 500 to be set-up by September 2009.

Speaking on the occasion, Sujit Baksi, President Corporate Affairs, Tech Mahindra, said, “Even in the current global environment, Tech Mahindra finds it prudent to invest in Chandigarh by building its new facility. Chandigarh is a preferred destination for its exceptional BPO & IT culture, state-of-the-art infrastructure, local support from the government, availability of skilled manpower and low rate of attrition. This campus allows us to spread our operations in Northern India in a big way & we are keen to tap the local talent pool in this region to make this campus a major hub.”

Tech Mahindra’s other centres are at Noida, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Belfast and New Castle. The new centre will serve both domestic as well as international clients.
