Nokia’s CEO meets PM

Nokia’s President and CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo met India’s Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh with the meeting focused on government policies and steps taken by the company in the Indian market to drive uptake of mobile services in the country.

The CEO highlighted the need for re-energizing the telecom industry.

The CEO also pointed out the recent increase in VAT on handsets in some states such as Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
