Synchronica claims another contract with South Asian mobile operator
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  05 Oct 2009

UK-based Synchronica Plc claims that it has reached another agreement with mobile service provider, this time with a South Asian operator for its mobile email and synchronisation solutions including for Mobile gateway as well as Mobile Backup.

While Synchronica did not disclose the operator, it only said that the operator has 30 million subscribers on GSM platform.

As part of the deal, Synchronica will receive a minimum premium of $ 1 per subscriber per annum from the net revenue derived from the provision of the Mobile Gateway by the operator. For every subscriber using the Mobile back-up service, Synchronica will receive $ 0.5 per annum. Additionally the deal will also see Synchronica providing and deploying services and solutions worth $ 60,000.

Carsten Brinkschulte, CEO of Synchronica, said, "We are very pleased with this contract win as it marks our first success with a mobile operator in the fast growing South-East Asia market. Once again, this illustrates the attractiveness of our products for carriers in emerging economies aiming to increase the average revenue per user (ARPU) and to combat churn by introducing addictive data services to the mass-market."
