Raja blames Defence Ministry for 3G delay; asks Pranab Mukherjee to intervene
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  21 Oct 2009

Union Communications Minister A Raja held the Defence Ministry responsible for the unavailability of 3G spectrum in some circles and thereof the delay in the auction process.

"Because of the stand taken by the Defence Ministry, which is not plausible and against the decisions of the empowered Group of Ministers there has been slippage in the original schedule of auction," said Raja in a communication to the Finance Minister.

"If this issue is not resolved quickly, I apprehend that the revenues anticipated from 3G auction may not be forthcoming this year," added Raja.
