RCom further classifies per second billing
TT Correspondent |  Mumbai |  03 Nov 2009

Reliance Communications (RCom) intensified the price war as its new per second billing tariff offers users multiple options to choose from depending on the duration of calls.

The new offers to be made available from November 05, 2009 are seen as an extension of the Simply Reliance Plan announced by the company last month. RCom has now dubbed the Simply Reliance Plan as Simply Reliance Initiative.

RCom says that it has devised the new tariff plan based on three consumer segment according to the duration of calls. The classifications are Short Duration Calls, Long Duration Calls and Standard Length Calls. For short duration calls, subscribers can make use of one paise per second plan. For long duration calls, RCom is offering calls at rate of Re.1 per 3 minutes while for standard call duration the tariff will be 50 paise per minute.

Mahesh Prasad, President, RCom says, “The launch of Simply Reliance Plan in October was very well received in the market, both by customers & trade. Customers across India have appreciated our endeavour to offer single, simple and transparent tariff on all local, STD and roaming calls. We now extend the Simply Reliance Initiative by offering two new products catering to varied customer needs with the same simplicity & unconditional transparency.”

RCom says the new offerings reiterate the commitment of Simply Reliance Plan with ‘No Conditions’, No Monthly Recharge’& ‘Any Network Anytime’ benefits.

“Most of the competitive offers in reaction to Simply Reliance Initiative have fallen short with various restrictions, conditions and limited to calls on the same network in the home zone,” Mr Prasad adds.
