3G auctioneer NM Rothschild is an advisor to Aircel for tower biz offloading
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  17 Nov 2009

NM Rothschild, the firm selected by DoT to oversee and manage the e-auction process for 3G and BWA services is an advisor to Aircel for its proposed move to offload stake in its tower arm, reports The Financial Express.

The emergence of this fact has raised questions about conflict of interest. Both the parties i.e. Aircel as well as NM Rothschild have come under cloud, the former for appointing a firm which was selected by DoT for the e-auction and the latter for accepting the offer from Aircel to serve as advisor.
