China’s ZTE Corp. is aiming for a 20% market share for GSM network gear by the end of this year, reports Reuters.

The company’s VP for GSM vertical told Reuters that the company expects strong sales next year as well for GSM equipment.

The spokesperson claimed that ZTE is now ranked number 3 in the GSM equipment space, trailing Ericsson and Huawei.

The spokesperson said that the credit finance option offered by it which in turn is funded by government bank has resulted in half of its customers availing the offer to purchase equipment.
