Bharti Foundation to set-up 10 schools in WB

Bharti Group’s, philanthropic unit, Bharti Foundation said that it would set up 10 primary schools for underprivileged children in rural West Bengal as part of its Satya Bharti School Program.

The schools will cover 2,100 students and employee 60 teachers with the recruitment to be done from local communities and particular focus will be to employ women teachers.

Bharti Foundation aims to set up 500 such primary schools and 50 senior secondary schools covering 200,000 students across the country in the next five years.  236 schools have already been set-up in Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu covering 30,000 students in total and employing 1,000 teachers.
