Oracle today released a new version 7.4 of its Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management solution with new features and pre-built integration.

Oracle says that the new version will help service providers spanning the communications, media and other service providers to deliver differentiated customer experiences. Customer management capabilities, offering expanded pricing, billing & invoicing functionality and enhancing data accessibility are some of the areas which are addressed by the solution.

The solution also supports Oracle Application Integration Architecture for Communications, Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher, Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper and Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Transferred Account Procedure (TAP), Returned Account Procedure (RAP), Diameter, Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) are the technological standards supported by the software.

“We’re pleased to team with Oracle as the new release of Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management provides the new value-added features our clients seek, including enhancements to Oracle Application Integration Architecture for Communications.  This new release demonstrates that Oracle and Capgemini can succeed together in meeting the demands of today’s competitive industry,” says Alain Gerset, vice president of offerings and alliances for Capgemini Telecom, Media and Entertainment Sector.

“Many of the world’s largest and most innovative communications and media companies rely on Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management to accelerate time to market for new products and services, build stronger brands and reduce operational costs.  This new version provides pre-built integrations and further simplifies industry-specific business processes to help companies deliver unique customer experiences while lowering total cost of ownership,” concludes Liam Maxwell, vice president of products, Oracle Communications.
