Nokia launches two new 3G-ready slider phones

Nokia unveiled Nokia 6700 and Nokia 7230 slider phones with 3G capabilities and internet friendly.

The 6700 model has 2.2 inch QVCA display screen, measures 95.2 x 46 x 15.9mm and weighs 110 grams, has a 5 mega pixel camera, dual LED flash & capture key, web browsing, supports HSPA and HSUPA, email support, Ovi chat and runs on S60 operating system. It also has a FM radio and can support upto 16 GB memory. The model offers 4 hours of talk time and standby time of up to 300 hours as well as music playback of up to 29 hours.

The model will be available in six colours including pink, red, petrol blue, aluminum, lime and purple.

It will be launched in early 2010 at a price of about Rs 11,200 or euro 160.

The Nokia 7230 phone has a 2.4 inch display, measures 98mm x 48mm x 14.75mm and weighs 100 grams. It has a 3.2 mega pixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth, Xpress audio messaging and 2GB memory. It runs on S40 operating system.

This model too will be available by early 2010 and is estimated to be priced around Rs 7,000 or euro 100.
