TT Correspondent |  Mumbai |  07 Dec 2009

Vodafone Essar on Friday responded to market forces which have slashed the roaming tariffs by launching new options and plans for its prepaid as well as postpaid subscribers. Vodafone is offering subscribers either to choose from a flat per minute charge of 70 paise under the ‘Travel Plan’ or 1.5 per second pricing under ‘Ticket Plan’ with the plans available for Rs 58 and Rs 62 respectively for the prepaid subscribers.

The travel Plan is available for Rs 299 Travel Plan or Rs 299 Ticket Plan.

Travel Plan offers local and STD calls at 50 paise per minute and also offers 175 minutes free minutes per month. The Ticket Plan offers local and STD calls for 1 paisa per second and 10,000 free local and STD seconds per month.

Kumar Ramanathan, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Essar said, “We are delighted to continually provide our customers the enduring advantage of Vodafone’s superior network, customer-centricity and innovative offerings.  Both the Travel Plan and Ticket Plan offer simplicity to our customers by introducing flat rates across categories, and the power to choose either the Minute or the Second pulse rate option, based on their preference. Both plans offer reduced call rates and enable our customers to stay connected at affordable rates while being on the move.”
