Minister of Sate for IT and Telecom, Gurudas Kamat said in the Parliament that the government had earned Rs 4,112.3 crore from telecom operators in way of licence and spectrum fee in the first half of this fiscal.

For the year 2008-09 he said that the government earned Rs 8,307.85 crore as compared to Rs 7,290 crore earned during 2007-08.
