Aricent comes up with new OSS/BSS lab for WiMAX, 4G

Aricent today announced opening of a new Innovation, Development and Test Environment Lab for assisting operators architect and implement the latest in multi-vendor Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS) technology including those related to WiMAX or 4G services.

 

The lab also offers Aricent’s pre-packaged OSS/BSS solution for WiMAX by providing WiMAX reference architecture. This can help operators to reduce time-to-revenue especially in emerging markets.

 

“Aricent’s extensive expertise in end-to-end OSS / BSS system integration is evidenced by the fully integrated order management process for WiMAX and Triple Play solutions,” says Chun-Ling Woon, vice president of marketing and business development at ConceptWave. “The pre-packaged OSS / BSS solution fully utilizes the ConceptWave Order Management product set and can be conveniently demonstrated to interested operators in the Aricent Innovation Lab.”

 

The lab can offer integrated and commercial OSS/BSS solutions based on COTS platform which are of use to Greenfield operators. The lab also supports Web 2.0 and Cloud-based opportunities for the operators.

 

Intially the lab is equipped with COTS products from multiple partners including ConceptWave, Hewlett Packard, Oracle and Telcordia.
