Ex-Sony Ericsson India executive, Sudhir Mathur to head LG India’s mobile division

LG Electronics India on Monday made some top level changes including the appointment of Y V Verma as company’s new COO for the Indian unit.

Other changes include shifting of Mr. V Ramachandran (formerly Director Mktg) to the level of “Head Strategy”, Mr. Amitabh Tiwari (formerly Business head of Home entertainment) has been elevated as the Head Sales. Mr. Rohit Pandit as the Business Head for LG Home Entertainment.

Sudhir Mathur who till recently was associated with Sony Ericsson as its Marketing Head will now serve as Business Head of Mobile Communication for LG Electronics, India.

On this occasion Mr Moon B Shin, MD LG Electronics India said, “We at LG India are delighted to introduce these new changes in the top management. With this we aim to increase operating efficiency and establish greater autonomy at the operating level; strengthening the independence of LG India as a subsidiary to LG Electronics. All these changes will come into effect from 1st Jan 2010.”
