EMC India appoints HP’s Subroto Das as COO

Information infrastructure solution provider, EMC India appointed Subroto Das as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for India and SAARC markets.

In his new role, Subroto will be responsible for driving sales in the mentioned markets including in the Enterprise segment as well as Commercial segments. He will report to EMC India & SAARC, President, Manoj Chugh.

EMC has committed to invest $ 2 billion in these markets.

Commenting on the appointment, Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India & SAARC, said, “EMC has been focused on developing and leading the market in India. With the market offering new growth opportunities, we are investing to bring in strong leadership to engage strategically with our customers.”

“Subroto brings with him a wealth of experience by virtue of his long-standing association and in-depth understanding of the Information Infrastructure market. He will lead EMC’s sales team to realize the high growth potential of the enterprise and commercial markets in India.”

Till recently, Subroto was associated with HP as Director, Enterprise Storage Business, Asia-Pac and Australia. He has earlier worked for Cisco and Wipro Infotech. He has total 19 years of experience.
