BSNL aims for one million 3G subscribers within fiscal end

BSNL is eying to add 300,000 more subscribers for its 3G services to take the total subscriber base for the services to one million before this fiscal end.

"We have received good response and have about seven lakh 3G users and by the end of this fiscal, we should have crossed a million (10 lakh)," said Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) principal general manager (Value Added Services) SS Sirohi.

The operator is planning to increase its 3G services coverage from 300 cities at present to over 760 in the next 3-4 months.

It will also launch video conferencing services over 3G soon.
