Android debuts in South Korea with launch of Motorola’s MotoROI

The company launched MotoROI, an Android-based smartphone which is the first such phone to be introduced in South Korea. It is priced at $ 800.

It has a 3.7-inch WVGA multi-touch display, 8MP camera with Xenon flash, 720p HD video recording capabilities, DMB- TV, HSDPA, GPS, WiFi and funky connectivity that includes TV out and HDMI. It has an 8 GB internal memory which can be expanded to 32 GB.

While initial models make use of Android 2.0 firmware, the models will soon be updated to v2.1.
