Bharti Airtel, BSNL on the lookout for vendor to manage optic fibre cable network

India’s leading market leader, Bharti Airtel has invited bids from  telecom vendors to manage its over120,000 km optical fibre cable network reports The Economic Times. The company plans to close the deal within this fiscal and is estimated to be worth $ 1 billion.

 

The company plans to form a joint venture with the short listed firm.

 

The Economic Times also reports that BSNL too will invite bids from vendors to manage its 600,000 km optical fibre network. BSNL is scheduled to invite bids in February.
