Tulip Q3 net up 38.2% at Rs 68.6 crore

Data connectivity service provider, Tulip Telecom posted net profit of Rs 68.6 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009 at a growth rate of 38.2% on a yoy comparison. Revenues grew by 13.4% to Rs 500.9 crore.

 

The company’s EBITDA margin was at 27% with basis EPS of Rs 23.66.

 

Lt Col H.S Bedi, Chairman and Managing Director, Tulip Telecom said, “We are extremely pleased to report strong earnings this quarter. Our continuous focus on data connectivity and the fiber roll out has allowed us to offer end-to-end services to our customers”. He further added, “The quarter witnessed significant successes from the Government, Utilities, BFSI and Telecom sectors thereby giving an impetus to our business. In the future, we expect to focus even more on the Government sector, in order to address the infrastructure requirements of various initiatives that are aimed at reaching the larger rural population”

 

“The company is growing beyond being a wireless based last mile player to a fibre based last mile company, thus substantially increasing its business potential,” he added.
