BSNL eyes 22 mn new subscribers; revenues from mobile banking and advertising

PSU BSNL is aiming to add 22 million new subscribers in the coming new fiscal with additional plans to foray into mobile banking and mobile advertising services as well, reports the PTI.

 

"Next year (2010-11) we are keeping a target of 22 million mobile connections - 20 million 2G connections and two million 3G", Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited''s Director (Consumer Mobility) R K Agarwal told PTI.

 

The official also revealed that ARPU from its 3G subscribers was seen at 40 % more than that of 2G subscribers.
