Globally enterprises are exploring the advantages of Software as a service popularly known as SaaS especially since it requires less commitment on the capex front, a significant factor in today’s scenario where cutting costs is of equal importance to firms as much as generating revenues.
Take the case of global aerated rinks major Coca Cola. “There were a number of key factors that needed to come together to create the perfect WOW factor,” says Coca Cola SVP and CIO, Esat Sezer in an interaction with Meettheboss.tv. “It was the ease of use standpoint that exceeded my expectations. The speed of development and deployment standpoint also had the wow fact,” adds Esat.
According to the spokesperson, the experience from unique when compared to traditional business to employee model or business to consumer model. “In this communication collaboration space with SaaS, the underlying partnership with Microsoft, the whole infrastructure partnership with AT&T, and Cisco as the communication collaboration partner worked well,” comments Esat.
Esat says that every corporation needs to be able to go through cycles of transformation to develop new initiatives. The SaaS initiative helped the firm to connect with its white collar workforce and enabling the firm to redefine its communication strategy as part of its business transformation agenda. |
