Bharti Airtel expects contribution of VAS to double
TT Bureau |  |  29 Mar 2010

Bharti Airtel said last week that it expects the contribution of VAS to its overall revenues to double in the near future fueled mainly by new VAS and mobile data services.

"Revenues from VAS account for 10% of total income for us and moving upwards we expect it touch 20% in near future, which shall be led by introduction of new services and growth in data download through mobiles," said Bharti Airtel Gujarat Circle COO Shivan Bhargava.

Apart from this, the spokesperson said that it has a subscriber base of 5.27 million in Gujarat with over 1.4 million added in the current fiscal.
