Airtel enhances Bollywood content-based MVAS with launch of ‘Airtel Talkies’

Market leader, Bharti Airtel launched ‘Airtel Talkies’ which is a MVAS providing exclusive content from upcoming movies. In short it is a trailer of upcoming movies specially designed and packaged for the mobile subscribers.

The service will offer a 15-minute narrative where songs and dialogues are connected together by a narrative or ‘Sutradhar’ to provide an experience of the movie for the mobile subscriber. Subscribers can forward or rewind the narration at any given point of time. 

The narrative will be in 5 languages namely Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Commenting on the launch Airtel Talkies in Delhi, Shashi Arora, CEO - Bharti Airtel Limited, (Mobile Services), Delhi & NCR said, “Bharti Airtel is committed towards enhancing the level and experience of customer engagement through their mobile phones. We do this by facilitating access to things they are most passionate about – connecting to loved ones, movies, songs, Bollywood and sports. We are confident that Airtel Talkies, our latest initiative, will delight our customers and value-add to their experience with Airtel”

The services are available under two options, Rs 30 per month for 4 movies with 30 days validity and Rs 10 per month for 1 movie with 7 days validity.

To start with, Airtel launched ‘The Japanese Wife’ which is a movie by Aparna Sen featuring Rahil Bose as well.
