Videocon launches mobile services in Gujarat

Videocon announced the launch of its services in Gujarat with the Group Chairman, Venugopal Dhoot saying that the company has earmarked Rs 1,000 crore investment for the state.

 

"Today, Videocon is starting its services in Gujarat, where the company has earmarked an investment of Rs 1,000 crore for its GSM venture," he said.

 

"In the coming months, we will target to cover 100 per cent of the urban population and 50 per cent of rural population in the state. Our services will be offered from around 20,000 retail outlets at the beginning and plan to cover 45,000 outlets in the next two months," added Dhoot on the company’s pan-India rollout plans.
