Airtel ropes in Nokia’s Vineet Taneja to Head South Operations

Bharti Airtel announced the appointment of Vineet Taneja as the company’s new Operations Director-South. In his new role Vineet will oversee Airtel’s mobile services operations in the circles of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu circles. He will report to Atul Bindal, President-Mobile Services.

 

Announcing the appointment, Sanjay Kapoor, CEO-India & South Asia, Bharti Airtel, said “I am delighted to welcome Vineet to the Airtel family. With his rich experience in mobile multimedia technologies and services, we are confident that he will successfully lead our operations in the Southern market.”

 

Vineet has over 18 years of experience in sales and marketing. He took care of Nokia India’s devices portfolio and launch management program and also headed Nokia India’s services and software business unit. He has also worked for Hindustan Lever.

 

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Roorkee and a PGDM from IIM< Kolkata.
