TTSL makes Rs.5864.29 crore payment for 3G spectrum in 9 circles

Tata Teleservices (TTSL) made a payment of Rs.5864.29 crore to the Indian government towards 3G spectrum in 9 circles.

“By paying only 35% of the total bid amount of Rs 16,828 crore, TTSL has covered 51% of Indian towns with a population more than 1 million, 60% of towns with a population of more than half a million, 47% of the Q3 AGR of FY 2010 and 48% of the country's mobile subscriber base of December 2009--thereby signaling the completion of a very successful bidding process for us,” said a company statement.

The company further said that its win ensures it to offer 3G services to 46% of Sector A Households by Circles, 49% of Sector A and B Households by Circles, 55% of households with income of over Rs 3 lacs and 51% households with income more than Rs 1.5 lacs per annum.
