Teracom bags BSNL’s Rs.28 cr SDH Microwave Radio order

Goa-based Indian telecom gear manufacturer, Teracom bagged a Rs.28 crore order from PSU, BSNL towards supply, installation and commissioning of SDH Microwave Radio solutions.

Others in fray for the order included global names such as Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Fujitsu and NEC.

The project requires Teracom to supply 6 GHz SDH Microwave equipment at 29 locations consisting of 76 Hops spanning areas in Assam, Bihar, HP and Manipur. The project is to be executed within 9 months from the date of award of the contract.

“We are happy that we have won this bid in spite of fierce competition from major Instrumental vendors like Alcatel – Lucent and Ericsson. Our team is one of the most experienced team in India for 6GHz  & 15GHz microwave and our Microwave Radio solutions are most cost effective and reliable,” said Rajeev Venkat (Whole Time Director) Teracom Limited.

The order follows Teracom executing a similar deal for 15 GHz Microwave Radio solutions to BSNL last year.
