Wynn Telecom launches GSM handsets in Tamil Nadu

SAR Group company, Wynn telecom launched its range of GSM mobile phones in Tamil Nadu.

The handsets are priced in the range of Rs.1500 to Rs.5000 and initially there are 7 models on offer in Tamil Nadu.

'We are a little bit late in entering the market but are confident that with our distribution and service network already established across the country, we will be able to rise up in the market, offering the handsets at affordable prices. Our aim is to be in the top three brands in the next 12 months' said Mr Rakesh Malhotra, Founder and Chairman, Wynn Telecom Ltd.

'Consumers want all features that come with Blackberry, at affordable prices. Moreover, the penetration level of mobile market in India is just around 40 per cent only and rural India holds a great opportunity, he said addressing a press conference, following the launch.
