Bay Talkitec deploys 3G VAS delivery and applications platform for MTNL

Chennai-based Contact Centre Solutions and Customer Interaction Management (CIM) solutions provider, Bay Talkitec claimed successful deployment of a 3G VAS delivery platform for MTNL in Delhi and Mumbai.

 

The platform will allow subscribers to choose from content such as Video SMS, Video Conferencing, YouTube Upload, Mobile TV and Video on Demand from MTNL’s video portal. To avail these services, subscribers need not subscribe to any data services but need to dial a video call.

 

On the deployment, T. Hariraj, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, Bay Talkitec said, “Being a user friendly and highly accessible platform, our 3G VAS solution will enable MTNL to grow their subscriber base and significantly increase their VAS revenues.  We are also looking to launch more innovative 3G applications like video ring back tone, video greetings, mobile video yellow pages, video juke box in the near future on the same platform.”

 

The solution comes in a single box and supports 2G as well as 3G networks including NGN for which it has a provision for SIP (Session Initiated Protocol) and SIGTRAN making it ideal for NGN environment.
