Airtel appoints Ogilvy Africa as Marketing Services Partner

Bharti Airtel Ltd. announced the appointment of Ogilvy Africa BV as its marketing services partner for 15 countries in Africa.

 

Under the deal, Ogilvy Africa will set up a specialist Pan-African business unit named as Team Airtel dedicated to Airtel. Ogilvy will take care of advertising, media buying, market research and public relations responsibilities.

 

The Brand Union will also be roped brand migration activities, Millward Brown for market research, Hill & Knowlton & Ogilvy PR for all public relations across all markets in the region.

 

Ogivly has handled media duties for Zain as well in the region before Bharti’ acquisition.

 

Mr. Manoj Kholi, CEO of Bharti Airtel International, said, “We are delighted to be partnering Ogilvy Africa in our endeavour to take the Airtel brand deep into the heart of every market we operate in.
