TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  21 Sep 2010

Bharti Airtel announced the selection of Ericsson, Huawei and Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) as its vendors for rollout of new 3G network.

As part of the deal, the vendors will plan, design, deploy and maintain the HSPA-based 3G network.

The majority of the contract has gone to Ericsson India thereby making it the largest network partner for the operator’s 2G and 3G network. NSN will manage and deploy the 3G network in three circles.

The network will be HSPA+-ready.
