ZTE launches NetNumenTM U31 Unified Platform Network Management System
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  21 Sep 2010

ZTE Corp. announced the launch of element management system (EMS) NetNumenTM U31, which, according to ZTE, is the industry's first solution designed to manage both fixed and mobile network equipments in a centralized and highly efficient manner.

ZTE says that the NetNumenTM U31 is designed to provide end-to-end capability for high O&M efficiency. The system can well integrate the management of current industry-level platforms, including 2/3/4G RAN, MSAN and xPON, datacom/microwave/optical transmission, CS/PS/IMS CN, VAS, and IT devices, for a complete convergence of fixed, mobile and IT networks.

Its management capability spans multiple network layers, namely access layer, bearer layer, control layer, and application layer, which allows the solution to be deployed across different O&M scenarios.

"Multi-technology convergence and full-service operation are posing tough challenges for carriers, and with the rapid development of telecom technologies, they are looking for solutions to help them streamline their current operations," said Chen Jian, Lead of ZTE Network Management Product Department.
