Nokia expects to sell 35 millon GPS phones in 2008

Nokia, world’s largest cellphone maker is quite optimistic of selling 35 million GPS phones this year.

 

The company’s CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said “We expect to ship about 35 million GPS-enabled Nokia devices in 2008, which is equal to the entire GPS device market in 2007.”

 

The company also expects to gain leverage from its acquisition of navigational company Navteq.

Nokia is about to break all records. This certainly shows the potential of the telecom sector and the demand of mobile phones around the world. Surely this phone maker giant will reach many more milestones.
