The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee, on Thursday launched the Gpad G5 in India for Rs. 14,999. It is the successor to the Gpad G4 phablet. Gionee says the smartphone will be available by next week via both online and offline retail channels.

Our basic thought behind introducing this product was to give our consumers a superior product that can be handled with ease. There is a huge demand for premium features at affordable prices. Keeping consumer preferences in mind we have introduced the device which is high on features and easy on the pocket," said Arvind Vohra, India Head, Gionee Smartphones.
Gionee Gpad G5 supports dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. It features a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and comes with AGC Dragontrail glass protection. It has 8GB of inbuilt storage and can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card.
Gpad G5 phablet is powered by a 1.5GHz hexa-core Cortex-A7 processor and with 1GB of RAM. It comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2 megapixel front camera. For connectivity, it offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and FM radio. It also sports dual crystal loud speaker with DTS, and will be available in Black and White colours.
Gpad G5 measures at 157.3x77.6x7.9mm, and weighs 104.6 grams. It packs a 2400 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 288 hours of standby time, up to 15 hours of talk time on 2G, and up to 12 hours talk time on 3G. |
