Xolo Play 8X-1100 phablet launches in India for Rs 14999

Xolo has launched its new Android smartphone, the Xolo Play 8X-1100 in India for Rs 14,999. The phone features a 5 inch HD IPS display with protected Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor and 2 GB RAM. The Xolo Play 8X-1100 runs Andorid 4.4 KitKat OS.
 
Xolo Play 8X – 1100 smartphone features a 13 megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS Sensor. It has a 5 megapixel front camera with 88 degree wide-angle lens and BSI Sensor that let users capture selfies ensuring no one is missed out in a selfie frame. It supports 1080 pixels video recording and playback.
 
Xolo Play 8X-1100 is packed with the latest file sharing technology - Hotknot - which is claimed to transmit data wirelessly placing two devices near each other, with speed 5 times faster than normal Bluetooth. To transfer data, user needs to bring two devices (both should support Hotknot feature) closer, simply by touching screen to screen.
 
The device has 16 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card space. The phone is packed with a 2100 mAh Li-ion battery. The OTG support allows users to connect pendrives.
