Samsung has heated up the competition in the mid-range smartphone segment in the Indian market by slashing the price of its 2013 flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone from Rs. 41,500 to Rs. 17,999, i.e. approximately 57%. Samsung Galaxy S4, which is now selling for Rs 17,999 on e-commerce major Amazon.in. Now, It will compete directly with Huawei Honor 6, Xiaomi Mi 4 and Lenovo Vibe X2 smartphones that come near the same price range. Samsung, also announced that it will roll out Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the Galaxy S4 soon.
It has a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 441 ppi. It weighs 130g and is 7.9 mm thick; it's slimmer than its predecessor. It comes with 13 megapixels rear camera and a 2 megapixels front camera.
It comes with an internal memory of 16GB, expandable up to 64GB, and has 2GB RAM. It has a 2600 mAh battery which is 20% larger than that of the S III.
