First Impressions: Micromax launches Canvas Juice 2 smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS for Rs 8999

Micromax, on Wednesday launched the Canvas Juice 2 Android smartphone in India for Rs. 8,999. It is the successor to the Canvas Juice smartphone. Canvas Juice 2 will be available on online and offline stores from Thursday.

Canvas juice 2 is a dual-SIM based smartphone. It features a 5 inch HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM.  Canvas juice 2 comes with 8GB internal storage and is further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.
 
Canvas Juice 2 comes with an 8 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. For connectivity Canvas Juice 2 includes - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, and Micro-USB. It comes with 3000 mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 9 hours of talk time and up to 435 hours or 18 days of standby time.
 
The only drawback of this device is that it lacks with 4G/LTE connectivity that other manufacturers are offering in this same price range. So, it will be interesting to see what response this device will get.
