Bharti Airtel, India’s leading telecom operators has extended its operations to the one of toughest terrains Kargil, known for India-Pak conflict a decade back. This is part of a company’s plan to reinforce its pan India coverage strength.
The company said that given the extreme weather conditions and rough terrains, the connectivity has been extended to the region through VSAT links and specially designed telecom infrastructure which can be adjusted as per the need in case of any unprecedented weather condition.
“With connectivity in Kargil, Airtel has covered the farthest destination on the network coverage map of J&K”, it said.
