Intex which early this month announced its plans to target a revenue Rs 1,800 crore from handset business in India has now launched Intex Aqua HD and Aqua i4 Android 4.2 smartphones in India. The devices are priced at Rs 15,900 and Rs. 9,490 respectively.

The company which is betting on the festive season said that it is planning to sell 3 lakh smartphones in the month of October, 2013.

The pre-order of Intex Aqua HD stared online two weeks with ecommerce portal snapdeal.com offering it at Rs 14,999 with 3-6 months EMI schemes.

The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589 processor and runs on the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS.

The device with a 4.7-inch HD display (720x1280pixels) comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera along with an LED flash and can record 1080p videos. It also sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The phone has an 1800mAh battery which can deliver up to 5 hours of talktime and 300 hours of standby time. Its connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ aGPS and 3G.

Last week Intex also launched 5-incher, Intex Aqua i7 smartphone camera Rs 21,900. The device also has 13 megapixel.

Intex Aqua i4 on the other hand runs of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It features 5-inch capacitive touch screen. It sports  an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

It has 3G (HSDPA/ HSUPA), Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth as connectivity options. The phone comes pre-loaded with apps such as Matrabhasha, Intex Game Club, Intex Play, Hungama, Intex Movies, in addition to a call recorder.

It is available in Black and White colour variants.
