Alcatel One Touch, on Thursday launched a new series of smartphones for its customers in India with a focus on south and west regions. The launch announced smartphones in two series; Idol and Hero. The two series consist of smartphones in the mid and high range and are targeted at consumers across various age groups.

South market is one of the growing engine for the company. In the phase I, we are planning to launch Alcatel One Touch mobile phones in top ten cities like Bangalore, Mysore, Hugli, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Vizag, Chennai, Coimbatore, Cochin etc. Apart from retail advertising, effort would be to have extensive retail programs.

The Idol series comes fully loaded with features such as ‘pic to the left’, a functionality that allows users to swipe and flips through the photo gallery and share easily with friends. The phones come with an insanely sharp full HD display and large viewing angle ensures that color remains crisp and true and offers an ultra-realistic visual experience. It comes with a large screen segment from 4.3 inch to 5 inch display with a tiny 2.4mm bezel which makes it the most compact and slim smartphone. The phone supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, ensuring full time connectivity for the social media buffs. The phone comes with difference memory size like 4 GB, 8GB & 16 GB also with sufficient internal memory size that will full fill the user requirements, so that external memory option closed.
 
The Hero, a high-end category phone comes with a 6 inch HD display with 440 pixels behind every inch. The phone comes with features like dual screen display, compact design and handwriting recognition and many more attractive features which make it a great value for money smartphone. The phone has an 13 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera with an advanced picture quality comes with 16GB expandable upto 32 GB and 2GB as internal memory. The 3400 mAh battery makes this phone out of the box in the same smartphone segment. With a compact design with 6’inch display and super slim sleek design at 7.9 mm, the phones is the sleekest and smartest in the category. Hero comes with black crystal touch panel and brushed metallic finish which further adds style to this phone.

The smartphones will be available at 4 premium colors. The smartphones range from 10,000 price to 30000 price. The range of mobile phones would be made available in leading wireless chains apart from regular multi brand outlets.
