Huawei launches Honor 6 smartphone in India with octa-core CPU for Rs 19999

The Chine handset giant Huawei, on Monday has launched its latest Honor 6 smartphone under its Honor series for Rs. 19,999. The Huawei Honor 6 will be exclusively available via e-commerce website, Flipkart starting October 6. Along with Huawei Honor 6, Huawei also launched the MediaPad Honor T1 for Rs. 9,999 and it will also be exclusively available via Flipkart starting October 10.
 
“Our product line up for the next quarter is exciting and promising and we are confident that our tie-up with Flipkart will further fuel our growth and success in India. We are aiming to sell 1 million smartphones in 2014 and are on track to achieve our target”, said Cai Liqun, CEO, Huawei Telecommunications, India.
 
“At the onset of the festive season, the devices including two smartphones, Honor 6 and Honor Holly and two tablets — Honor X1 and Honor T1 will be available to the 26 million regular visitors of Flipkart,” said Allen Wang, Huawei India president, consumer business group.
 
The Honor 6 smartphone offers single-SIM support. It feature a 5 inch JDI full-HD in-cell display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 445ppi. It runs the recent Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with the company's Emotion UI 2.3 and is powered with 1.7GHz and 1.3GHz octa-core Hi Silicon Kirin 920 processor with 3GB of RAM. It sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, BSI sensor, and f2.0 aperture and a 5 megapixel front camera.
 
Honor 6 comes with 16 GB of inbuilt storage, and it can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. For connectivity, it includes: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, GPRS/EDGE and 3G. The Honor 6 is backed by a 3100 mAh battery.
