LG Tech Show 2015: Launches G Flex 2 curved Android smartphone and other breakthrough products for India

LG Electronics India, on Wednesday showcased its futuristic technology at the third edition of annual technology convention – the LG India Tech Show 2015. LG launched its highly anticipated technological revolution LG G Flex 2 curved smartphone for Rs. 55,000 and will be available in Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red colours.

LG G Flex2 features a 5.5-inch full-HD curved P-OLED display with a 1080x1920 pixels resolution and a 403ppi pixel density. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC with 2GB RAM. It is a single-SIM device and runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. The device measures 149.1x75.3x7.1 - 9.4 mm and weighs 152 gm.
 
The LG G Flex2's display has a 700mm-radius curvature, while the back is slightly sharper with a 650mm-radius curvature for grip. LG says the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 has been toughened approximately 20 percent from the previous generation with the firm's own special chemical treatment technology - LG calls this Dura-Guard glass. The whole phone is supposedly 30 percent more durable than the original.
 
LG G Flex2 comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS+), dual-LED two-tone flash, and laser-guided autofocus. It also offers a 2.1 megapixel front camera. It will come in 16GB and 32GB storage variants that are expandable using microSD card.
 
For connectivity it includes 4G LTE-A with tri-band carrier aggregation, HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth Smart Ready (Apt-X) 4.1, NFC, SlimPort, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, and USB 2.0. The device is power backed by a curved 3000 mAh non-removable battery. It also features a Fast Charging function - which can charge the battery up to 50 percent in under 40 minutes.
 
LG also launched 105 5K TV that will be available at the price of INR 59, 99,900. The Smart Inverter 2.0 range of refrigerators is available across India in 255L-495L capacity, priced at INR 26,500 – 66,100 and the Inverter V AC with Mosquito Away technology is available across India in 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 ton models in the price range of INR 45,990 to 66,990. The LG G Flex 2 will be available at the approximate price of INR 55,000.
