Sony, on Friday launched its latest flagship smartphone in the India market, the Xperia Z3+ for Rs. 55,990. The smartphone will be available in Aqua Green, Black, Copper, and White colour variants. The Sony Xperia Z3+ measures 146x72x6.9 mm and weighs 144 gm. The handset is enclosed in an aluminium frame.
The Sony Xperia Z3+ is the processor of the Sony’s last year flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z3. The smartphone is a minor upgrade from the Xperia Z3, and apart from being slimmer and lighter, also sports the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC.
Sony Xperia Z3+ features a 5.2 inch full HD Triluminos display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, which is powered by the X-Reality mobile picture engine. The Xperia Z3+ runs on a 64-bit octa-core (quad-core 1.5GHz + quad-core 2GHz) Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB RAM and runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop based OS.
Sony Xperia Z3+ also retains the 20.7 megapixel autofocus rear camera and features 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS BSI sensor, Bionz image processor, and a pulsed LED flash. It also sports a 5 megapixel front camera with ExmorR BSI sensor. It also features a 25 mm wide-angle lens, apart from electronic image stabilisation.
The Xperia Z3+ sports 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. The device is power backed by a 2930 mAh battery, and a quick charge feature that provides up to 5.5 hours of usage time in a 10-minute charge, and a full charge in 45 minutes.
Other features on the Xperia Z3+ include an IP65/IP68 equivalent certification, which according to Sony makes the phone waterproof and dust-tight. Another USP of the device is support for high-resolution audio with LDAC compression technology. For connectivity, Xperia Z3+ include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi with hotspot, 4G LTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB, DLNA, and NFC. |
